Bybliomøbisk amøblement
Stefan Bakmands værker til udstillingen kredser om hedensk kosmologi, det underbevidste, det okkulte og det alkymistiske. Gennem undersøgelser af det åndelige med afsæt i mytologiske symbolikker formidler Bakmand et billedsprog, hvor grænsen mellem indre og ydre verden, det spirituelle og det materielle, konstant udfordres og forhandles.
I centrum for denne praksis står begrebet “Bybliomøbisk”—et selvopfundet ord, der fungerer som en meditation over rejsen ind i det åndelige og det ukendte. Værkerne aktiverer det Bybliomøbiske som både metodisk ramme og fortolkningsnøgle, hvormed det mytologiske og symbolske får fysisk form på tværs af tegning, objekt og installation.
Som en del af udstillingen præsenteres “Bybliomøbisk segl”—et grafisk værk, hvor motiv fra ét af Bakmands egne værker er forenet med det nye ord “Bybliomøbisk”. Seglet fungerer som et gennemgående symbol for udstillingen og egner sig også særligt til brug som plakatforside, teaser på udstillingens hjemmeside eller i forbindelse med e-mails og presse. Derudover indgår dokumentation af Mikkel Kaldals to tegninger i udstillingen som væsentligt bidrag og supplerende perspektiv på Bakmands undersøgelse af de okkulte og åndelige temaer.

Stefan Bakmand’s works for the exhibition revolve around pagan cosmology, the subconscious, the occult, and the alchemical. Through explorations of the spiritual, rooted in mythological symbolism, Bakmand develops a visual language where the boundary between inner and outer worlds, the spiritual and the material, is constantly challenged and negotiated.
Central to this practice is the concept of “Bybliomøbisk”—a self-invented word that serves as a meditation on the journey into the spiritual and the unknown. The works activate the Bybliomøbiske as both a methodological framework and an interpretive key, enabling the mythological and symbolic to take physical form across drawing, object, and installation.
As part of the exhibition, the “Bybliomøbiske Seal” is presented—a graphic piece where a motif from one of Bakmand’s own works is combined with the new word “Bybliomøbisk.” The seal acts as a recurring symbol for the exhibition and is particularly suited for use as a poster cover, teaser on the exhibition’s website, or in connection with emails and press. If adjustments in format or cropping are needed, the artist can be contacted.
Additionally, documentation of Mikkel Kaldal’s two drawings is included in the exhibition as an important contribution and a supplementary perspective on Bakmand’s investigation of occult and spiritual themes.
