joël bigaignon

joël bigaignon is a mauritian / french-born visual artist who lives and works in copenhagen. bigaignon's artistic style is deeply rooted in his upbringing in mauritius, and especially the memories of tornados that annually razed his childhood home have left deep imprints on his dna. destruction, reconstruction, and the narrative of justice unfold as colorful narratives when bigaignon, poetically, processes his canvas both figuratively and abstractly at the same time.
